A note from our clinic director

To Our Clients, Collaborating Providers and Community Partners:

I am writing to update you regarding our clinic's decisions about protocol for mitigating the spread of the cornonavirus (COVID-19) and protecting public health at this time. Kristine and I have all been monitoring the evolving data on the spread of COVID-19 and creating plans to bring our clinic into alignment with recommendations from local health authorities and the CDC. Guided by our ethics of social responsibility, service to others, and passion for promoting the physical and mental health of everyone, we are taking the following precautionary measures:

1) The clinic at 429 Gammon Place will be closed until further notice. No providers will be conducting in-person therapy or appointments at 429 Gammon Place at this time. We will make clinic closure decisions on a monthly basis and will keep you informed if we begin offering sessions in-office again.

2) We understand that therapeutic support is a critical aspect of well-being, especially during stressful times. For this reason, all of our therapists are offering remote therapy at this time via Thera-Link (a HIPAA compliant video platform) and/or phone. I would like to personally encourage you to keep your currently scheduled therapy appointments and utilize these alternative formats. If you are not already registered as a Thera-Link user and would like to be, let Kristine know and we'll get you all set up with a free account.  If you prefer a phone call for your appointment, we can do that as well.

3) We understand that for some people, Thera-Link or phone may not be able to perfectly accomplish their therapy needs. If you feel strongly that you prefer in-person therapy, I am offering a limited number of appointments as outdoor, open-air walks at local parks, where we can wear masks and be six feet apart. This option is only available if you are not sick and have not been for 14 days, have not traveled out of the state in the last 14 days, and have not had contact with anyone known to test positive for COVID-19. Please let Kristine know if you would prefer this option. She'll then ask you a few brief questions to confirm that you meet the above criteria and give you location details.

Personally, I want to thank you for continuing to stay connected during this time. My goal with these decisions is to balance social responsibility and the recommendations for social distancing with what I know to be our human need for supportive relationships and connection. If you have any questions about these different therapy options, please do not hesitate to get in touch. I am looking forward to creatively navigating this together in a way that promotes health, relieves anxiety, and promotes the relational support that we all need.

Healthfully Yours,
